Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) is an indoor and vehicular environmental comforting technology. The technology aims to provide thermal comfort and high indoor air quality. The techniques of ventilating a building are further divided into a few types as mechanical, forced, and natural ventilation that will provide optimal temperature throughout the day and night.HVAC does the above function, through three different and integrated parts such as heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning at required points or wherever necessary. Installing, HVAC systems has become common in the recent days and also the required industry standard for construction of new buildings.This course is designed to help engineers being able to understand, design and sizing entire HVAC systems either residential or commercial buildings.

    – Ventilation System Calculations
    – Types of ventilation fans (Axial Flow, Mixed Flow Fan & Centrifugal Fan)
    – Air terminal outlets (Types, Shapes, Catalogues, etc.)
    – Air Side (Duct System)
  • Duct types and material
  • Duct Sizing
  • Standard fittings from SMACNA
  • Accessories (Fire dampers, Volume dampers, etc.)
  • Duct Tests
  • Water Side (Chilled Water System):
    – Chillers Types and selection
    – Chillers Hook ups and valves
    – Chilled water Pumps (Calculation & Selection)

  • HVAC System Relevant Issues:
    – Engineering responsibilities (Coordination, drawings and project documents required)
