Youssef Sidhom
Founder and Chairman
BSc Architecture Engineering, Cairo University, 1971. CEO of Watani Printing and Publishing Corporation and Editor-in-Chief of Watani Newspaper, 2000. Member of the Egyptian Journalism Syndicate, 1993. Award winner of “Leading by Example Award” and “Media Honors Award”. Mr. Sidhom's wealth of experience across diverse specializations coupled with his dedicated efforts, has significantly contributed to Egycopt Board of Trustees and has been instrumental in guiding the Foundation since its inception in 2012.
Bassim Youssef
Founding Member and Vice Chairman
BSc of Electrical Communications - Cairo University in 1973. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the New and Renewable Energy Division (Federation of Egyptian Industries) and member of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Egyptian Industries. Board member of Samcrete for development. Has substantial experience in the electrical substations and electrical industries. His executive leadership in an international power and automation technologies company also provides substantial experience in governance.
Sami Saad
Founding member and member of the BOT
BSc of Civil Engineering Cairo University , 1956 Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sami Saad Holding Group Former Chairman of the Egyptian-German Business Council and a member of many associations for business management and development in Egypt Member of m civil society organizations working in development Has extensive experience in managing and developing contracting and industrial businesses, and establishing, developing, and managing hotels and real estate projects.
Samia Shenouda
Founding Member and Member of the BOT and the Executive Committee
BSc in English Language and Literature Cairo University, 1964. Masters Degree in Public Administration, The American University in Cairo, 1986. Former member of the Egyptian Parliament, & the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs. Strategic Adviser to the Director of Executive Education at AUC Egypt. Her career as program Manager and Assistant Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme, gave her a strong insight into the field of human development, particularly Youth, through training and capacity building.
Bassel Saad
Founding Member Member of the BOT
BSc of civil engineering Cairo University, 1990. Master's degree in Engineering Management, George Washington University, 1993. Executive Director and CEO of ALDAU Development, a hotel and real estate development firm and member of Sami Saad Holding. Closely oversees all new developments and projects, ensuring best-in-class architectural design and execution of projects under development. He provides development and top-level leadership to different ALDAU company activities. ALDAU currently boasts a track record in establishing best-in-class resorts, hotels, and conference centers, and is a main sponsor of Egycopt’s foundation
Omneya Hanna

BSc of Communication Engineering, Cairo University, 1982. Secretary General of Starcare Foundation. Has a profound interest and extensive experience in social development and people empowerment. She also manages multiple societal projects, helping children in need through the Starcare Foundation, where she works in partnership with the Sawiris Foundation and AlexBank
Raafat Abou Kalam
Member of the BOT and the executive committee
BSc of Commerce, Accounting Division Ain Shams University, 1980. Managing Director of the Société National d’investissement Sonid. Fellow of the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors & the American Society of Accountants and Auditors AICPA. Member of the Egyptian Businessmen Association and the Egyptian-British Society. He has extensive experience in the work of banks, industrial and commercial companies, human development, and community work institutions.
Reem Saad
Member of the BOT & head of executive committee
BSc of construction engineering, the American University in Cairo, 1993. Board member of Samcrete Investments, and AlDau for development. Member of the advisory board of Shabab Balad, a UN initiative. Has a strong passion for social & human development, and for empowering the youth, supports local manufacturers and handcrafts. She has overseen Egycopt’s activities since 2018.
Nader Nabil
Member of the BOT
BSc of Strategic Management and Human Resources Management at the German University in Cairo, 2008. Masters in Human Resources Management, Edinburgh Business School UK, 2020. Head of Component Dual VET Governance, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ. Has experience in leading strategic and operational roles within public, and private sectors and international development organizations. Strong expertise in human resource management, governance, organizational development, and training management.
