As part of its Soft Skills Development Program, the EGYCOPT Foundation launched a new initiative, “Learn Technical” an ambitious campaign aimed at raising awareness among preparatory school students about the value of secondary technical education.
The initiative seeks to reposition technical education as a viable and valuable pathway to employment and personal growth, it directly addresses labor market needs by promoting vocational pathways that align with in-demand skills across key industries.
Recognizing the increasing importance of technical education in response to evolving labor market demands in Egypt and the wider region, the initiative focuses on sectors such as manufacturing, construction, renewable energy, information technology, and automotive maintenance. It aims to bridge the gap between education and employment, positioning technical education as a key driver of employability, economic inclusion, and national development.
In 2024, 1,000 students were trained through collaborations with various partners. Building on this momentum, the foundation plans to reach an additional 2,000 students by the end of the year—further reinforcing its commitment to youth empowerment and to preparing a skilled workforce that meets the needs of Egypt’s growing economy.
